How do I change my delivery address/contact details?

The quickest and easiest way to review your delivery details and change your personal information is online at shop.burlington.org.uk and logging on by clicking the icon of a person in the top right-hand corner and going to ‘My account’ then ‘Contact details’. If you are looking to change your address outside of your current delivery country, please contact our Customer Services department.

Do I need to pay custom charges?

Post Brexit, we handle all EU customs and tax charges on your behalf. In the unlikely event of receiving an unexpected bill or notice from customs, please get in touch with our customer services department so we can resolve this.

How do I renew my subscription?

If you pay for your subscription via a continuous payment method, your subscription will auto-renew a year after your subscription has started, unless you cancel prior. If you have paid for your subscription as a one-off payment, you will be invited to renew via a series of renewal communications to you.

When will I receive my print magazine?

Subscriptions start with the next available issue from date of purchase. Delivery times will vary, but as a guide you should allow the following timescales: UK - On or within a week of the publication date EU - 10 working days from publication date ROW - 20 working days from publication date

What should I do if my magazine doesn't arrive?

Please refer to the above delivery timescales. If your issue has not arrived please contact our customer service department via email and we will troubleshoot any delivery problems and arrange for a replacement copy if needed.

How do I log in?

Once your subscription is live, you will get an email from our customer service department on how to set up your password and log in to your account. Please check your spam or junk folders if this does not arrive.

Can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription anytime by contacting our customer service department via email, post or phone. Or you can cancel your subscription via your Online Account, choosing 'Orders to Cancel'. Once you've cancelled you will continue to receive the issues you have paid for until the end of your subscription term.

Can I buy back issues of the magazine; print & digital versions?

Selected print and digital back issues are also available for purchase via our webshop (shop.burlington.org.uk), subject to availability.

How will I hear about exclusive subscriber events?

We will contact you using the email address you signed up with to alert you of any upcoming subscriber events. Please add our email address to your safe sender list to ensure they are delivered successfully.

How do I submit an article to the magazine?

Digital Access

Can I download the magazine to read offline?
Yes, you can. To do so, please first visit our archive. Then, place your mouse cursor over the relevant issue’s cover art, and click “DOWNLOAD”. This will be formatted as a single PDF of the entire issue and can be done on any desktop, mobile, or tablet device. To download articles individually, please first visit our archive, locate the relevant issue, click on “VIEW CONTENT”, and then scroll to the bottom of the page. Here, you will find the content of the issue split into “ARTICLES”, “BOOKS”, and “EXHIBITIONS”. Once the desired article is located, click “DOWNLOAD”. This will be formatted as a single PDF of the individual article and can be done on any desktop, mobile, or tablet device. PLEASE NOTE: For Institutional Digital Standard subscriptions, archival access is limited to issues published within the last 5 years only.

How do I access my digital subscription and back issues?
To access your subscription, please visit our content website, click the “LOGIN” icon in the top-right corner, and enter the email address and password used to purchase your subscription. If your name is now displayed in the top-right corner, you have successfully logged in. From here, you can click the “MENU” button (☰) in the top-left corner to access our back issues archive. Here, you can now access our entire digital collection; from the current issue to our first publication in 1903. Simply click the drop-down menu, select a year, and all 12 issues published within that year will be available to view or download. Other useful functionalities include the archive search, illustration search, and jobs & opportunities. PLEASE NOTE: For all Institutional subscriptions, online access is IP-based, so you should be automatically logged in upon visiting our content website. This is indicated by whether the word “Institution” is displayed in the top-right corner, or not. If you are experiencing access issues, please contact your institution’s administrator. Additionally, for Institutional Digital Standard subscriptions, archival access is limited to issues published within the last 5 years only.

How do I access the digital page-turner?
To view content digitally without first downloading it, we offer a page-turner for every issue published from January 2009 onward. To access this, please first visit our archive, locate the relevant issue, and then click on “VIEW CONTENT”. From here, scroll halfway down the page until you see “Are you a subscriber? Click here to view digital edition now”. This will then open the page-turner.

How do I access digital back issues?
To access recent or previously purchased digital back issues, please visit our webshop and ensure that you are logged in with the email address and password used during checkout. Once logged in, place your mouse cursor over the “MY ACCOUNT” header, and click “SECURE DOWNLOADS” from the options on the subsequent drop-down. From here, you can download all of your digital back issues on any desktop, mobile, or tablet device.

How do I purchase old digital back issues / individual articles?
Unfortunately, you can no longer purchase digital issues published prior to January 2019, nor individual articles. Instead, we now offer the ability to purchase 1 month access to our digital archive. This includes unlimited access to our entire digital archive, where you can then download and keep any relevant issue or article. Digital page-turners are also available for all issues published from January 2009 onward.
